Now is the time to submit payroll referrals! As you know, sales fluctuate. In the bankcard industry, merchants will switch processors when sales are slow. Typically our best months tend to run from early spring into the summer. And when the weather cools, merchants focus on preparing for the holiday season.

Prior to holiday peak season, many ISOs will check in on their portfolio to ensure merchants are prepared for the rush, are stocked up on gift cards and have prepared digital marketing campaigns to incentivize their loyal customers to do their holiday shopping at their store. These instances present the perfect opportunity to ask the merchant how they plan to process payroll in 2015.

For accounting, administration and tax purposes the vast majority of merchants will either switch their existing payroll provider or begin to use payroll services in January. BenefitMall signs more than 25% of their annual business in January alone. Take the opportunity to generate payroll leads now by asking merchants if they are interested in receiving a quote from our Payroll Partner, BenefitMall, one of the nation’s largest payroll service bureaus. And once you have that lead, make sure you enter it into the lead landing page (http://pages.benefitmall.com/EPSG.html).

With an average annual commission of $400 per closed Payroll deal, the income can be lucrative! And as an added incentive, we are running a contest* for a 3 day trip to NYC for two, complete with spending money, 2 nights in a luxurious hotel, tickets to a show AND Sunday brunch on a yacht.

So don’t let the slow bankcard months impact your income, ask your merchants about Payroll today!
